The core responsibilities of this role include: Responsible for overseeing daily transportation and delivery operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of products. This role serves as a key point of contact between drivers, customers, warehouses, and management to support service excellence and operational efficiency.

Position: Logistics Coordinator Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Pay: $65,000 - $72,000 is the base salary

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• 1-3 years of logistics, transportation, dispatch, customer service, or supply chain experience preferred. • Experience in route planning, fleet operations, or transportation management systems is a plus. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Excellent communication and customer service abilities. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Ability to analyze transportation data and identify operational improvements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. • Ability to work flexible schedules when operational needs require.

Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will serve as a critical link between SDS Rx, pharmacy customers, and independent contractors. This role combines administrative coordination, customer service, contractor management, and operational support to ensure daily logistics activities are executed efficiently and accurately.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for monitoring delivery performance, coordinating route coverage, managing customer communications, and assisting with contractor scheduling and recruiting efforts. This position requires a highly organized and self-motivated professional who can work independently while providing exceptional customer service and operational support.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong leadership capabilities, and can proactively resolve challenges while maintaining positive relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily transportation schedules and delivery routes. • Dispatch drivers and provide real-time support for route adjustments and service issues. • Track shipments and deliveries to ensure on-time performance. • Communicate with customers regarding delivery status, delays, and service concerns. • Maintain accurate transportation records, reports, and system updates. • Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, customer complaints, and operational challenges. • Monitor driver productivity, route efficiency, and service metrics. • Ensure compliance with DOT, company, customer, and safety requirements. • Assist with driver onboarding, training, and operational support. • Coordinate with warehouse, pharmacy, and customer teams to ensure service expectations are met. • Support payroll, billing, toll management, and other transportation-related administrative functions as assigned. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
