SuPra Fund Management is a MAS-licensed fund of funds manager based in Singapore. We build diversified portfolios of specialist alternative investment managers, many of them niche firms that most investors would find hard to access or diligence on their own.
Our investment process is thorough and data-driven:
- Manager sourcing and selection. Managers come from our own proprietary network and our relationships with major financial institutions. Each one goes through in-depth quantitative analysis, operational due diligence and on-site visits. Only a small subset pass.
- Investor-led portfolio design. Each investor's objectives are set out at the start and reviewed through ongoing dialogue for as long as they are invested.
- Portfolio construction and risk management. We model managers with in-house optimisation tools, stress testing and correlation analysis. The aim is consistent returns across market cycles, not just in good markets. Portfolios are monitored continuously and rebalanced regularly.
We offer multi-manager hedge fund portfolios, from low-volatility cash-enhancement solutions to diversifying, low-correlation alpha strategies, and give investors selective access to private equity and venture capital opportunities.
We are a small, senior team of portfolio managers and investment professionals, guided by experienced advisors from major banks and investment houses.
The role
This is a client-facing role that raises assets for our fund products. You will cover private banks, family offices, external asset managers and institutional investors in Singapore and the region.
We build each solution around what the client needs, so the job starts with understanding each investor's objectives and matching them to the right portfolio. Investors are buying our ability to find, vet and combine managers they cannot access or diligence themselves. You will explain that edge with confidence: how managers are sourced and selected, why low correlation matters, how a portfolio behaves under stress, and what returns investors can expect.
You will work closely with the portfolio managers and the investment team, joining manager reviews and portfolio discussions, so that what you tell clients rests on a real understanding of the portfolios.
Key responsibilities
- Build and convert a pipeline of private banks, external asset managers, and multi-family and single-family offices, focused on Singapore and the region.
- Run investor discovery: understand each client's investment goals and position the right solution.
- Present our manager selection process, portfolio construction and risk framework to investors.
- Win private bank and platform approvals, and lead the investor due diligence process, with support from the investment and operations teams.
- Keep existing investors informed with regular performance commentary, to drive retention and top-ups.
- Keep the CRM accurate and report on pipeline, conversion and assets raised.
- Follow MAS marketing rules, accredited investor requirements and KYC/AML procedures at every stage.
What you bring
Essential
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales or relationship management role at a fund manager, a family office or the distribution side of a private bank.
- A good understanding of fund strategies and key performance and risk measures.
- An existing network across Singapore private banks, external asset managers or family offices.
- You meet the MAS Fit and Proper criteria, and have completed the relevant CMFAS modules or are willing to complete them on joining.
Preferred
- A degree in finance, economics or a related field.
- Fluent Mandarin, for clients in Greater China and Chinese-speaking clients in Singapore.
- CFA or CAIA, completed or in progress.
- Experience at a boutique or growing manager, raising assets on the strength of the process and the team rather than a big brand.
