Apartment Maintenance Technician

Pay: $19-$21/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to help maintain an apartment community and ensure apartments, common areas, and property equipment are kept in safe and working condition.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and general property maintenance. HVAC experience is a plus. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, completing repairs, and providing quality service to residents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the apartment community.
  • Complete plumbing, electrical, painting, and general maintenance repairs.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair.
  • Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare apartments for new residents, including turnover and make-ready repairs.
  • Inspect apartments, buildings, common areas, and equipment for maintenance needs.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to help keep the property clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Work with property management to address maintenance concerns and complete work orders.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, painting, and basic repairs.
  • HVAC experience or knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform basic repairs independently.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with apartment maintenance.
  • Ability to respond professionally and courteously to resident requests.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on, dependable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, building maintenance, or property maintenance is highly valued.
