Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse inventory operations in a freezer environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with inventory management, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and operating a stand-up order picker forklift.

This position requires strong counting and organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as shifts may vary between days, nights, and weekends based on operational needs.

Protective gear will be provided for working in the freezer environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Operate a stand-up order picker forklift safely to retrieve, move, and organize inventory.
  • Pick, replenish, and move products throughout the freezer warehouse.
  • Verify product quantities, item numbers, and locations to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and misplaced items.
  • Maintain organized inventory locations and follow established warehouse procedures.
  • Follow all forklift safety guidelines and freezer facility safety requirements.
  • Use inventory systems, scanners, or other warehouse tools to record and verify inventory transactions, as required.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy while working in a cold-storage environment.
  • Work a flexible schedule that may include day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and varying hours based on business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse inventory, or cycle counting.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate physical counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Previous experience operating a stand-up order picker forklift.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately count, verify, and track inventory.
  • Ability to work in a freezer or cold-storage environment. Protective gear will be provided.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and written work instructions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment and Schedule

This position is based in a freezer warehouse where employees will perform inventory counts and operate material-handling equipment in cold temperatures. Appropriate protective gear will be provided.

Schedule flexibility is essential. This position does not have a guaranteed, fixed shift. Candidates must be available to work varying hours, which may include days, nights, weekends, and schedule changes according to operational needs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has proven cycle counting and inventory experience, can accurately count and track products, and has hands-on experience operating a stand-up order picker forklift. Reliability, attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and scheduling flexibility are essential for success in this role.

If you have the inventory experience, forklift skills, and scheduling flexibility needed for this position, we encourage you to apply.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
