About the Role

What to Expect:

As a Senior Linux Systems Support Engineer in the Windows and RHEL Services Squad, you will:

  • Serve as a senior technical owner for Linux platforms in production and pre‑production environments
  • Provide L2 operational support for Linux systems, including incident triage, root‑cause analysis, and permanent remediation
  • Lead and participate in complex troubleshooting of OS, performance, and platform‑level issues
  • Execute and support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities in accordance with change and release management standards
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, application teams, and other infrastructure squads to ensure stable, reliable platform services
  • Identify recurring operational issues and drive continuous improvement through better tooling, documentation, and processes
  • Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and observability improvements to reduce reactive firefighting
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting strong operational practices and troubleshooting discipline
  • Document systems, procedures, and operational runbooks; communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Participate in on‑call rotations and provide senior‑level support during incidents when required

What will make you successful:

We are seeking professionals with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or Engineering

  • 7–10 years of experience supporting and engineering large‑scale Linux platforms, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux, across virtualized environments
  • Strong background in production operations, including incident response, problem management, and change execution
  • Experience working in high‑availability, mission‑critical environments with formal operational and change management disciplines
  • Exposure to automation and scripting in support of operational efficiency (not necessarily as a primary automation developer)

Automation & Tooling (Support‑Focused)

  • Working knowledge of Ansible, Python, or shell scripting to support operational tasks
  • Ability to read, use, and extend existing automation and playbooks
  • Familiarity with Git and configuration‑as‑code concepts

Networking Fundamentals

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and service connectivity
  • Ability to troubleshoot network‑related impacts on system behavior

Operational Practices

  • Understanding of ITIL‑aligned incident, problem, and change management.
  • Experience operating within formal production controls.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
