Our capabilities include Software Development, Engineering & IT, Data Science, Cyber Enablement, Logistics, and Training. Founded in 2019, Swift supports Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Community customers across the country and around the globe.

Swift is looking for a Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS) Instructor to support the delivery, development, and continuous improvement of UTS training programs. This is a part-time, 1099 contractor position requiring an individual with practical UTS knowledge and experience who can translate complex technical and operational concepts into effective, engaging instruction. The instructor will deliver classroom, hands-on, and scenario-based training while also contributing to the ongoing design, development, and refinement of UTS course materials, practical exercises, scenarios, and instructional content. An active security clearance is preferred but not required. Prior UTS experience and demonstrated experience delivering technical or operational training are essential.

Responsibilities: Deliver instructor-led UTS training to students with varying levels of technical and operational experience. Provide classroom, practical, and scenario-based instruction covering UTS concepts, technologies, methodologies, and operational considerations. Translate complex technical and operational concepts into clear, practical instruction applicable to real-world environments. Facilitate hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and practical training scenarios. Assist with the design, development, and continuous improvement of UTS curriculum and training programs. Develop and update course materials, including presentations, instructor guides, student materials, practical exercises, scenarios, assessments, and supporting documentation. Incorporate emerging technologies, evolving surveillance capabilities, and relevant operational lessons into training content. Evaluate student understanding and performance through practical exercises, knowledge assessments, and instructor observation. Gather student and instructor feedback and incorporate lessons learned into future course development. Collaborate with technical subject matter experts, instructional designers, program leadership, and other instructors to ensure training remains operationally relevant and technically accurate. Maintain familiarity with emerging technologies and trends affecting ubiquitous technical surveillance environments. Support training demonstrations, equipment preparation, classroom setup, and other activities necessary for successful course delivery.

Requirements: Demonstrated professional experience with Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS) concepts, technologies, environments, or related operational disciplines. Prior experience delivering technical, intelligence, operational, or mission-focused training. Ability to confidently instruct both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills. Experience conducting hands-on or scenario-based instruction. Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable and actionable training. Experience developing, updating, or contributing to training curriculum and instructional materials. Ability to work collaboratively with technical SMEs and instructional development teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt training delivery based on student experience, course objectives, and evolving technologies.

Desired Experience: Previous experience within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), Department of War (DoW), U.S. military, or related national security environment. IC and/or DoW instructional experience, including experience supporting intelligence, surveillance, counterintelligence, technical operations, or related operational disciplines. Experience developing and delivering training within intelligence or national security environments, not limited to traditional military instructional roles. Experience developing scenario-based or experiential training programs. Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Experience with emerging technologies relevant to surveillance, digital environments, data collection, sensors, communications, or related technical disciplines. Prior experience serving as a technical instructor, operational trainer, intelligence instructor, or subject matter expert.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
