What You'll Do
As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you'll help keep one of the largest fleets in the country operating safely and efficiently by:
- Performing preventative maintenance and inspections on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, axles, refrigeration units, and other major components
- Performing tire inspections, repairs, and failure analysis
- Completing roadside service and breakdown repairs as needed
- Maintaining accurate repair documentation and work orders
- Supporting a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
- Collaborating with team members to achieve operational goals
What We're Looking For
- Valid Driver's License
- High school diploma, technical training, or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read repair manuals and complete repair documentation
- Experience using or willingness to learn diagnostic software
- Strong customer service and computer skills
