As the developer of the world's leading software AMOS, Swiss-AS manages successfully maintenance, engineering and logistics requirements of modern airlines. An electronic technical logbook is a critical tool for modern airline operations because it turns aircraft technical records into reliable, real-time operational data. By connecting flight crews, maintenance control, engineering, and continuing airworthiness teams around a single source of truth, it reduces manual effort, avoids delays, and enables faster, better-informed decisions.

Today two logbook solutions are offered to the market as part of the Lufthansa Technik Digital TechOps Ecosystem:

  • AMOSeTL (Swiss AviationSoftware)
  • AVIATAR Logbook (Lufthansa Technik; AVIATAR)

With AMOSeTL and AVIATAR Logbook serving largely similar customer contexts, operational environments and market needs, a new strong single product leadership is required to create clarity, consistency and strategic direction across the portfolio. The ambition is global market leadership for this type of product.

Bringing both products under one accountable Product Lead ensures end-to-end ownership for roadmap, operations, commercial outcomes and customer value. It enables the teams to align priorities, share capabilities, harmonize decision-making, develop a scalable delivery model and accelerate innovation while maintaining the stability, compliance and service quality required by airline operations.

For this reason, we are looking for an empathic, credible leader with a strong entrepreneurial mindset to lead both products and the existing teams.

Tasks

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead, inspire, and develop two existing product teams (AMOSeTL & AVIATAR TechLog).
  • Organize the teams into one integrated, high‑performing cross‑functional organization with clear roles and interfaces.
  • Build a trust‑based culture through empathetic leadership, transparent communication, and constructive conflict handling.

Product Strategy & End‑to‑End Product Life Cycle Ownership

  • Establish a common product vision, aligned ways of working, and decision mechanisms balancing speed, safety, and quality.
  • Shape a shared strategic roadmap that builds on the strengths of both solutions, aligns future priorities, and creates a more coherent customer and delivery experience over time.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics; translate insights into priorities and decisions.
  • Deliver complex airline go‑lives, lead escalations calmly, and prioritize stability in critical operational situations.

Go‑to‑Market, Commercial Ownership & Global Scaling

  • Build and execute the go to market strategy (positioning, pricing, packaging, sales enablement) near with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Implementation for high‑quality pursuits and rollouts.
  • Drive adoption across airlines of various sizes and digital maturities; ensure global scalability and repeatable delivery models.
  • Articulate compelling value propositions and business cases; publish product updates and success stories to the customer community.

Skills

Professional Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or comparable field.
  • Proven leadership of product teams and experience in transforming teams and operating models.
  • Several years of experience in digital product ownership/management for mission‑critical products; aviation experience preferred.
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks (e.g., EASA/FAA) and airline operational processes is a plus.
  • Strong commercial acumen (P&L ownership, business case creation, pricing, partner contracts).
  • Excellent English skills (written/spoken); German is a plus.
