The Right Profile
We're looking for a digitally native, hands-on Head of Marketing to lead our marketing growth engine in Australia. Think of this as a country-level marketing leadership gig - with the scrappy energy of a startup and the backing of a regional powerhouse.
Reporting to the Group Head of Product Marketing, you'll work as a member of the Australia leadership team to build a high-performing team of digital and growth marketers who help you shape the future of investing for Australians.
As someone who's grown up in tech, you're just as comfortable jamming with data engineers on tracking infrastructure as you are briefing a creative agency on a bold campaign idea. You know how to build modern marketing systems and, just as importantly, how to hire the right people to run them.
This role can be based in our Melbourne office, or in Sydney with regular travel to Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full marketing funnel – from driving acquisition through digital and traditional performance channels, to nurturing customers with CRM, email, and community engagement.
- Grow the SelfWealth brand – activating creative brand campaigns, influencer partnerships, and always-on social that speaks to the next generation of investors.
- Lead product launches plans – work closely with product, design, and content to make sure new features land with impact.
- You'll work side-by-side with products to grow the dollars our customers trust us to help them manage. You'll test fast and scale what works.
- Get out there – activate our brand at retail and business event opportunities that build credibility and excitement in the market.
- Be a builder – not just of campaigns and processes, but of a superstar marketing team. You know how to hire great talent, help them grow, and mentor them to do the best work of their careers. You'll be shaping not just how we market—but how we build a world-class marketing culture that lasts.
Minimum Qualifications
- You've owned performance marketing in the trenches and know how to get results—whether through paid social, SEM, influencers, or affiliates.
- You've built or scaled brands in a fast-moving environment and aren't afraid to test bold ideas.
- You know what great CRM and email look like—and how to make it drive results.
- You speak fluent digital: you know the tools, trends, and tactics that get attention and build trust.
- You have a soft spot for finance or fintech, and want to make investing more accessible for Australians.
- You're energised by ownership: rolling up your sleeves, figuring things out, and building from scratch with a small, ambitious team.
