Who we are

With its A.I.-powered robotic technology platform, Symbotic is changing the way consumer goods move through the supply chain. Intelligent software orchestrates advanced robots in a high-density, end-to-end system – reinventing warehouse automation for increased efficiency, speed and flexibility.

What we need

Symbotic is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Continuous Improvement team within our Layout Engineering organization. Your job will be to provide field-focused electrical engineering leadership, ensuring electrical systems are installed, validated, and commissioned in accordance with design intent, applicable codes and standards, and project requirements.

What we do

The System Layout Engineering team is part of the Supply Chain Organization, which is responsible for developing the customer’s warehouse layout, facilitating supply chain execution, and delivering world-class support to the installation team. The System Layout Engineering team drives warehouse design excellence through the incorporation of internal and external customer feedback with a consistent focus on reducing costs for both material and project execution lead times.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain electrical installation standards, quality documentation, inspection criteria, and workmanship requirements for cable installation, terminations, grounding, labeling, panel construction, and equipment energization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for electrical installation standards, NEC compliance, grounding and bonding practices, and power distribution systems.
  • Review arc flash studies, short-circuit analyses, equipment labeling requirements, and electrical safety documentation for compliance with NFPA 70E, customer requirements, and project specifications.
  • Perform field engineering assessments to identify and resolve electrical design conflicts, constructability concerns, installation risks, and other field issues.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and installation teams to implement engineering changes, resolve RFIs, incorporate field redlines, and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
  • Develop, validate, and continuously improve electrical installation methods, standard work practices, construction SOPs, and field engineering solutions, including supporting new product introductions.
  • Support installation kickoff meetings and train internal and external stakeholders to promote consistent execution of program standards across customer installation sites.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical installation, with demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering, installation, commissioning, and quality standards
  • Working knowledge of applicable NEC and UL standards, NFPA 70E, OSHA requirements, construction safety practices, Lockout-Tagout, lifting, and rigging
  • Experience supervising or managing contractors and working collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, installation, and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to assess electrical system risks and field conditions, develop corrective actions, and make sound engineering decisions under schedule constraints
  • Experience using metrics and data analysis to identify opportunities and drive process improvements

Our Environment

  • Up to 80% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client locations and company HQ.
  • Employees may be required to use a personal credit card for business travel expenses, which are reimbursed based on the program guidelines. Eligible employees may receive a corporate credit card based on role and travel requirements, but a personal credit card may be needed during onboarding until the corporate card is issued.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
