About the Role

The Food Service Worker at Lead Academy Cameron Campus-43502 plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the campus dining services by preparing, serving, and maintaining food quality and safety standards. This position is responsible for supporting the nutritional needs of students and staff by delivering timely and hygienic food service in a welcoming environment. The role requires collaboration with kitchen staff and management to uphold cleanliness, comply with health regulations, and manage inventory efficiently. The Food Service Worker contributes to a positive dining experience by providing courteous service and responding to customer needs promptly. Ultimately, this position helps foster a healthy and enjoyable campus atmosphere through dedicated food service support.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals and beverages according to established menus and portion sizes.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and serving areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all operational guidelines.Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students, staff, and visitors during meal times.Monitor food quality and report any issues or shortages to the supervisor promptly.Support team members in daily kitchen tasks and participate in routine cleaning and maintenance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role.Certification in food handling or food safety (e.g., ServSafe).Familiarity with inventory management and kitchen equipment operation.Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.Experience working in an educational or institutional food service setting.
