The posting
Taher is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment and facilities at the Plymouth Culinary Center and Great Northern Baking Company.
This position serves as a working technical leader for the maintenance team. The Lead Maintenance Technician performs complex troubleshooting and repairs, helps coordinate daily maintenance priorities, provides technical guidance to other technicians, and supports preventive maintenance activities across both facilities.
This role is designed for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys working directly with equipment while helping other technicians develop their skills. The position partners with the Plant Manager on maintenance priorities rather than independently managing the entire maintenance department.

- Help organize and prioritize the maintenance team's daily workload.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting assistance to maintenance technicians.
- Train and mentor technicians in equipment repair, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and maintenance best practices.
- Lead by example through active participation in maintenance work.
- Encourage teamwork, accountability, communication, and consistent maintenance practices across shifts and facilities.
Facility & Vendor Support
- Provide maintenance support at both the Plymouth Culinary Center and Great Northern Baking Company.
- Identify situations requiring specialized outside expertise and coordinate with approved service providers.
- Communicate parts requirements, recurring equipment issues, facility needs, and potential improvements to the Plant Manager.
- Assist with equipment installations and facility improvement projects as assigned.

- Ensure proper machine guarding and safe maintenance practices.
- Follow applicable electrical and equipment safety requirements.
