The Challenge

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you'll play an important role in fostering a positive, respectful and compliant workplace across our global business. Based in the UK and reporting to the Senior Manager you'll primarily support EMEA while also providing assistance across North America and APAC.

As part of our collaborative global Employee Relations team, you will independently manage straightforward workplace investigations from intake through to outcome. In addition, you'll provide day-to-day guidance to managers and employees on a broad range of employee relations topics, including performance management, disciplinary processes, workplace support and the consistent application of company policies.

You'll also contribute to the development and implementation of global and local policies, guidance, training and initiatives that help create a fair, respectful and high-performing workplace.

Success in this role requires excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as you'll work closely with employees at all levels of the organisation, managers, HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance and People Operations. You'll be trusted to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality and deliver practical, balanced advice while ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with our values and legal obligations.

This is an excellent opportunity to build expertise across a broad range of employee relations topics in a fast-paced, international environment.

What You’ll Take On

  • Independently manage straightforward workplace investigations from intake through to outcome, including conducting interviews, gathering and reviewing evidence, preparing investigation reports, delivering oral and written outcomes, facilitating stakeholder debriefs, and making objective findings and recommendations using sound judgement.
  • Own the day-to-day coordination of Occupational Health and Workplace Support cases across Europe, acting as the primary point of contact for our Occupational Health provider and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage referrals, workplace adjustment requests, and return-to-work processes in accordance with company policies and local employment legislation.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to HR Business Partners and managers on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, disciplinary processes, workplace support and policy application.
  • Support Global Workplace Support requests and help ensure matters are handled promptly, sensitively and consistently.
  • Support the development and implementation of global and local policies, guidance materials, training content and manager resources.
  • Present Employee Relations initiatives and deliver training sessions to HR, managers and employees as required.
  • Ensure the fair, consistent and appropriate application of internal policies, procedures and processes across supported regions.
  • Build effective working relationships with HR teams, business leaders, Legal, Compliance, People Operations and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of employee separation notices and related off-boarding documentation in specific countries.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and confidential records, case files and documentation.
  • Provide periodic reports to the HR team and analyse Employee Relations trends.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or a related people-focused or investigation type role.
  • A genuine interest in employee relations, workplace investigations and employment practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • The confidence and resilience to navigate challenging, sensitive and sometimes uncomfortable situations with diplomacy, professionalism and empathy, while remaining objective, balanced and solutions-focused.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn from colleagues across a global team.
  • A team player that is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may change.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, and HRIS systems; Workday and Navex experience a plus
  • Another language is a bonus but not essential.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
