The posting

Hungry for a challenge?

That’s good, because at Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET) we believe everything is possible, or, as we say, everything is on the table. We are a leading global online food delivery marketplace. Our tech ecosystem connects millions of active customers with hundreds of thousands of connected partners in countries across the globe.

Our mission? To empower every food moment around the world, whether it’s through customer service, coding or couriers.

The opportunity:

We are seeking an Application Specialist (SaaS Technician) with a passion for automation, integration, and process efficiency to join our global Application Management team. In this role, you will help build and maintain a secure, reliable, cost-efficient, and highly functional SaaS application environment.

You will take ownership of a portfolio of business-critical SaaS applications (such as 1Password, Miro, Zapier, DocuSign, and others), managing their lifecycle, access, security, and governance. Additionally, you will provide day-to-day administration support for our collaboration tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira and Confluence) while actively identifying opportunities to eliminate manual tasks using AI tools, low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Zapier, Jira Automation), and API integrations.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • SaaS Lifecycle & Operations Management: Take ownership of assigned SaaS applications (e.g., 1Password, Miro, Zapier, DocuSign), handling day-to-day administration, configuration, user onboarding/offboarding, role-based access management, and vendor interactions.
  • Automation & AI Integration: Actively implement and maintain low-code/no-code workflows (e.g., Zapier, Jira Automation) and leverage AI tools and REST APIs to streamline repetitive operational tasks, automate data updates, and reduce manual effort.
  • Atlassian BAU Administration: Provide business-as-usual (BAU) administration support for Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), including user and group management, permission requests, space administration, standard project setup, and license handling.
  • Cost & License Optimisation: Monitor software utilization, license allocation, and AI credit usage. Conduct license harvesting and assist in evaluation and renewal decisions to maximize ROI.
  • Security, Identity & Governance: Ensure managed applications comply with internal security and data protection standards. Implement least-privilege access, manage enterprise password vaults (e.g., 1Password), conduct biannual access recertifications, and work alongside IAM teams on SSO/SCIM integrations and Okta provisioning.
  • Shadow IT & Application Remediation: Act as a governance safety net by identifying unauthorized software usage, bringing unmanaged applications into a governed state, and establishing clear usage policies and documentation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Gathering: Hold requirements-gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., HR, Legal, Marketing, Engineering, Finance), evaluate new software proposals, conduct comparisons, and manage expectations.
  • Support & Knowledge Sharing: Act as a main point of contact for internal SaaS inquiries and technical support. Maintain the team's knowledge base, runbooks, and documentation, and provide guidance to IT Operations colleagues.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Experience administering and supporting enterprise SaaS applications or working within an IT Operations / Application Management environment.
  • Must-have experience with low-code/no-code platforms and AI tools: Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as Zapier, Jira Automation, and AI-driven automation capabilities to optimize workflows.
  • Working knowledge of user access management, license management, and SaaS lifecycle provisioning principles.
  • Experience with Atlassian administration (Jira and Confluence user management, permissions, groups, and basic configuration).
  • Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts (SSO, SAML, SCIM, Okta) and general IT security/data protection principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:

  • Nice-to-have: Practical experience or familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript) and working directly with REST APIs.
  • Hands-on familiarity with core portfolio SaaS tools such as 1Password, Miro, Zapier, or DocuSign.
  • Understanding of ITSM (IT Service Management) frameworks and software asset management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
