Home Care Aide

Buscamos un cuidador interno para una casa pequeña de cuidado para adultos en Anchorage, Alaska. La persona vivirá en la casa y atenderá a 1 paciente (con posibilidad de 2 en uno o dos meses).

Este es un puesto permanente y a largo plazo. No es un trabajo de temporada.

Responsabilidades

  • Ayudar al paciente en sus actividades diarias: levantarse, bañarse, vestirse y comer, con indicaciones y apoyo
  • Orientarlo dentro de la casa (por ejemplo, avisarle dónde está el baño o la silla de la ducha)
  • Darle sus medicamentos a tiempo (vienen empaquetados por horario) y anotar la hora
  • Cocinar y preparar las comidas (se entrena)
  • Limpieza ligera de una casa pequeña
  • Estar atento y ayudarlo si se levanta por la noche (a veces a las 2 AM, para ir al baño)
  • Acompañarlo y conversar con él por la tarde y la noche

Un día típico

El paciente va a una guardería entre semana, de 8 o 9 AM a 4:30 PM, así que el cuidador tiene libre casi todo el día. Por la tarde pasea, cena a las 7 y se acuesta entre las 8 y las 10 de la noche.

Requisitos

  • Certificación de CPR y primeros auxilios
  • De 1 a 2 años de experiencia como cuidador
  • Inglés básico como mínimo.
  • Buena comunicación y trato amable y paciente
  • Preferible: experiencia o formación en el área de la salud, por ejemplo enfermería

Pago: $3,000 al mes con 1 paciente, y $4,000 al mes cuando haya 2.

Horario

  • 5 días de trabajo y 2 de descanso. Los días libres aún no están definidos (por ejemplo, de miércoles a domingo o de martes a sábado)
  • Si quieres, puedes trabajar un día extra (opcional)

Housing y comida incluidos

  • Casa de 3 habitaciones y 2 baños. Los pacientes comparten un baño, y tú tendrás la habitación principal con baño propio
  • La comida está incluida, y el cuidador es quien cocina para sí mismo y para el paciente. No es difícil, y recibirás entrenamiento
