The posting

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, providing comprehensive psychiatric care, and supporting patients in improving their mental well-being and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of psychiatric and mental health conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy where appropriate.
  • Treat conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric conditions.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and monitor patients' treatment progress.
  • Provide crisis assessment and manage patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding treatment options and ongoing care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold patient confidentiality and clinical standards.
  • Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to clinical quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • MD/DNB in Psychiatry or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.
  • Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level.
  • Experience in managing complex psychiatric cases and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
