The posting

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Spine Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and surgically managing spinal disorders, providing advanced care for patients with degenerative conditions, spinal deformities, and traumatic spinal injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage complex spinal conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
  • Perform spinal surgical procedures, including decompression, spinal fusion, and minimally invasive spine surgery, according to clinical expertise.
  • Manage conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and spinal deformities.
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
  • Provide pre-operative assessments and comprehensive post-operative care.
  • Manage spinal trauma and other urgent spinal conditions.
  • Collaborate with neurologists, orthopaedic specialists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation teams.
  • Monitor patient recovery and manage post-operative complications.
  • Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to clinical quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Orthopaedics or Neurosurgery, with advanced specialization or fellowship training in Spine Surgery.
  • Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level.
  • Experience in complex spinal procedures and the management of degenerative and traumatic spinal conditions.
  • Strong surgical judgment, clinical leadership, and patient communication skills.
