Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Officer to oversee credit approval, risk assessment and portfolio monitoring, ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve credit proposals in accordance with the bank's risk management framework.
  • Assess credit risks and evaluate financial statements, credit reports and lending exposures.
  • Monitor credit portfolio performance and identify potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide credit risk recommendations and guidance to business teams.
  • Mentor junior credit officers and analysts.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and assignments from management.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of experience in credit risk, credit approval or corporate/commercial banking.
  • Strong knowledge of credit assessment, financial analysis, lending practices and risk management.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations, credit rating methodologies and financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
