Our client is one of Bangladesh's fastest-growing SaaS and Fintech startups, serving over 7 million MSMEs with digital tools and embedded financial services. Their mission is to empower small businesses across the country to go digital and thrive.  About the Role  Our client is hiring an HR Manager to lead all people operations across their Dhaka and Jessore teams. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will own every HR function end to end, lead the existing HR team, and build the systems a fast-growing startup needs to double in size within a year.  Key Responsibilities

  • HR leadership and planning
  • Own all HR functions for Dhaka and Jessore; oversee the Jessore HR team.
  • Lead, coach and set standards for the existing HR team.
  • Build and execute a quarterly HR plan aligned with company growth.
  • Recruitment
  • Run end-to-end hiring, including high-volume hiring for sales, collections and field roles.
  • Scale headcount from 150 to around 300 in 12 months.
  • Build hiring pipelines, interview processes and onboarding.
  • Payroll and compensation
  • Manage monthly payroll, salary administration, bonuses and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in PiHR or a similar HRIS.
  • Compliance and employee relations
  • Ensure full compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act.
  • Manage contracts, appointment letters, disciplinary actions and exits.
  • Handle grievances and employee relations fairly and on record.
  • Performance management
  • Design and run KPI-based performance reviews.
  • Support managers in setting targets and handling underperformance.
  • Policies and processes
  • Write and maintain the employee handbook and HR policies (leave, attendance, conduct).
  • Standardise HR paperwork and document every process.
  • Training and culture
  • Run onboarding and training programmes.
  • Drive engagement and retention in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • What success looks like
  • Month 1: Take full ownership of all HR operations from the existing team.
  • Month 1: Audit every HR process, record, contract, payroll file and policy; report gaps and risks to the CEO.
  • By end of Month 2: Present a two-quarter HR plan covering hiring, compliance, payroll, performance and policy.
  • Months 3–6: Execute the plan and support growth towards 300 employees.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least part of it at a startup.
  • Hands-on experience across recruitment, payroll, compliance and performance management.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Bangladesh Labour Act.
  • Experience with PiHR or a similar HRIS.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Bangla.
  • Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree accepted.
  • Comfortable leading a team, working with the CEO, and moving fast with limited structure.

Employment Structure

  • On-site in Farmgate, Dhaka, Bangladesh | Full-time
  • Salary: BDT 70,000 - 80,000
  • Benefits: 2 Festival Bonuses + Paid Leaves
  • Work Week: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
