Job description:

Position Overview: We are currently seeking experienced and safety-focused AZ Heavy Haul Drivers for an opportunity based in Peterborough, ON. This role involves a combination of driving and hands-on operational work within a regulated, safety-sensitive municipal/environmental setting. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy haul, tanker, shuttle floor, walking floor, or dump trailer equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
  • Assist with loading/unloading and other hands-on operational tasks as required
  • Follow all safety protocols, regulations, and company procedures
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members

Mandatory Requirements (All Must Be Met):

  • Valid AZ driver's licence
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant driving experience
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Valid CVOR
  • Strong English communication skills (for safety and compliance)
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Peterborough, ON
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-oriented

Required Experience (Within the Last 3 Years): Candidates must have experience in at least one of the following:

  • Heavy haul or steel haulage
  • Tanker operations
  • Shuttle floor or walking floor trailers
  • Dump trailer operation

Work Schedule:

  • Home daily
  • No long-haul or overnight routes

Additional Information:

  • This is not a driving-only role; candidates must be comfortable with physical, hands-on work
  • Work is conducted within a municipal/environmental services setting
  • Position is safety-sensitive and strictly regulated
