The posting

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Process and verify vendor invoices and ensure proper supporting documentation and approvals are in place.
  2. Prepare payment requests and monitor timely payments to suppliers.
  3. Maintain and reconcile Accounts Payable balances and supplier statements.
  4. Maintain and update General Ledger accounts and ensure accurate accounting records.
  5. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and adjustments.
  6. Perform fixed assets accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
  7. Assist in intercompany reconciliations and related accounting entries.
  8. Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  9. Prepare and review account reconciliations and investigate variances.
  10. Ensure proper classification and recording of expenses, revenues, and other financial transactions.
  11. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports.
  12. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  13. Assist in preparing financial statements and related disclosures.
  14. Coordinate with procurement, operations, and other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
  15. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
  16. Perform any finance and accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

  1. 3-5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) Accounting.
  2. Experience in the Power, Utilities, Energy, Manufacturing, or Industrial sectors is preferred.
  3. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
