MISSION
TAR’s mission is to power intelligence for the world. We are building the world’s first off-grid power plant for data centers powered by renewable technologies.
We firmly believe AI should be built in the US for the benefit of all people. For that, power must be fast, clean and scalable. We are singularly focused on delivering GW-scale power faster than anyone has ever done, by rethinking every layer of the stack.
We vertically integrate to solve every bottleneck, from racking systems to power electronics to dispatch algorithms to on-site construction.
Leave your mark on the future of civilization-scale energy infrastructure.
COMPANY
TAR is both a hardware and software company, we are building out massive, critical, physical infrastructure. TAR is working directly with one of the largest compute providers to scale and deploy 5GWs by 2028.
We operate on…
- High ownership. High Agency. Own project end-to-end. Great people don’t need to be managed.
- Speed. We achieve great things on incredible timelines. We push ourselves to go faster.
- First principles. No ego. No hierarchy. Challenge every assumption.
- Passion. Solving the energy problem is one of the largest challenges that faces the world now and in the future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Gigawatt-scale solar-plus-storage on an aggressive timeline lives or dies by its schedule. As Project Scheduler, you own the schedule of record for TAR's projects, from early development through commercial operation (COD). You will build the logic, keep it honest, and tell project teams and leadership early and clearly when a date is at risk and what it takes to recover it. You will work closely with project managers, development, procurement, and EPC partners, while retaining single-threaded ownership of schedule integrity across the portfolio.
Project managers own execution decisions and contractors own their own work plans; you own the integrated schedule that ties them together and the analysis that drives decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and own integrated project schedules from development through COD in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, with sound activity logic, realistic durations, and clean baselines that project teams trust as the single source of truth.
- Track and forecast key milestones across permitting, interconnection, financing, procurement, construction, and commissioning, so long-lead equipment and gating approvals never surprise the team.
- Monitor critical path, total and free float, and schedule health metrics on every update, flagging logic gaps, constraints, and out-of-sequence progress before they distort the forecast.
- Review EPC and contractor schedules for realism, sequencing, and alignment with contract milestones, and push back with specific findings when a submitted schedule will not hold.
- Identify schedule risks and delays early, quantify their impact, and develop recovery options such as resequencing, added crews, or scope shifts so leadership can make fast, informed calls.
- Produce clear schedule updates, milestone dashboards, and narratives tailored to project teams, leadership, and investors, translating schedule data into decisions rather than charts.
- Define and maintain scheduling standards, WBS structures, templates, and update cadences across the portfolio so every project is planned, statused, and reported the same way.
- Develop detailed construction schedules and short-interval look-aheads.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct scheduling experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and/or battery storage).
- Ability to fully build, maintain, update, and analyze schedules in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, including baselining, progress updates, and critical path analysis.
- Strong command of CPM scheduling fundamentals: task logic, relationships, float, constraints, and schedule health checks.
- Working knowledge of renewable construction sequencing, from civil and foundations through mechanical, electrical, substation, and commissioning, and the judgment to spot a sequence that will not work.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently: you can take a scope, build the logic, and run the schedule without step-by-step direction.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain schedule risk plainly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work from Austin, Texas, with occasional travel to project sites.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience building schedules for a developer or owner's team rather than only for an EPC.
- Exposure to data center, substation, or transmission projects.
- Experience with schedule risk analysis, delay or time-impact analysis, or resource- and cost-loaded schedules.
- PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or similar scheduling certification.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Up to $15K relocation bonus
- Unlimited PTO
- Health, Dental, Vision insurance
- $1K monthly stipend for meals
