The Project Manager will coordinate activities across engineering, laboratory, operations, quality, and customer teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. Success in this role requires strong planning, organization, and communication skills, along with the ability to drive execution in a fast-paced aerospace engineering environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional engineering projects related to thermal management products, technologies, and customer-driven development programs.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, laboratory, operations, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams.
  • Drive product development efforts from concept through design, testing, validation, certification, and production release.
  • Support the planning and execution of laboratory testing, qualification programs, and performance validation activities.
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate technical reviews, design reviews, and project gate reviews throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to define project scope, requirements, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to maintain program objectives and schedules.
  • Ensure customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards are incorporated into project plans.
  • Coordinate prototype builds, product evaluations, and engineering change activities.
  • Support new technology development initiatives aimed at enhancing thermal performance, product reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to translate technical requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D organization.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, action-item tracking, and communication plans.
  • Assist with prioritization of multiple concurrent projects within the R&D portfolio.
  • Facilitate communication between U.S. and international engineering teams as required.
  • Support strategic initiatives that advance TAT's thermal management and heat transfer technology capabilities.
  • Ensure projects are executed in compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in engineering, product development, R&D, aerospace, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional technical projects from concept through implementation.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including schedules, budgets, resources, and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, engineering change management, and project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, test data, and design documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Other Requirements / Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification/training.
  • Experience working with engineering, laboratory, quality, operations, and customer-facing teams.
  • Proven ability to identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience working in a matrixed and/or international organization.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, FAA regulations, certification processes, and quality systems.
  • Experience supporting thermal management, heat transfer, aerospace components, environmental control systems, or related technologies.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
