You will manage opportunity briefs and technical projects, working closely with Sales, the Category Expertise Team, Marketing, Science & Innovation, Product Line Management, Quality and other stakeholders, while operating with agility, accountability and high standards for Environment, Health and Safety.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Drive and support pipeline-led growth with and for our customers.

  • Act as technical consultant for assigned accounts, solving customer challenges with value-added ingredient solutions, aligned with commercial priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, the Category Expertise team, Science & Innovation, Product Line Management, Quality, Sensory, Nutrition and Regulatory teams to create tailored solutions and concepts.
  • Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, on-site trials and customer meetings, clearly explaining ingredient functionality and application benefits.
  • Manage technical projects and formulation records, ensuring timely delivery, accurate documentation and effective follow-up based on customer feedback.
  • Identify upselling, cross-selling and new application opportunities through technical expertise, market insight and customer engagement.
  • Share dairy/fruit prep/baby food ingredient, processing and competitive insights with internal stakeholders, and support capability building through training or knowledge sharing where relevant.
  • Work with agility across customers and regulatory environments while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and EHS, including active participation in our Journey to Excellence.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field, or equivalent education; an MSc in Food Science, Food Technology or Food Chemistry is an advantage.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a technical, application or technical sales role within the dairy/fruit prep/baby food, food and/or ingredient industry.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of the broader dairy/fruit prep/baby food categories, combined with broad knowledge of other food applications, as well as food science and technology, food processing, food chemistry and microbiology.
  • Experience with functional ingredients such as starches, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, fibres and sweeteners is essential.
  • Knowledge of sensory evaluation, rheology or end-product analysis is an advantage.
  • Customer-focused and commercially aware, with strong communication, influencing and solution-selling skills.
  • Comfortable working within an international environment and matrix organisation.
  • Pragmatic and analytical, able to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Team-oriented, able to work independently, share knowledge and support capability development within Technical Sales.
  • Fluent in French and English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Positive mindset and can-do attitude, with curiosity and the ability to ask the right questions to identify solutions.
  • Committed to strict health, safety and laboratory protocols, with willingness to travel up to 60% across the South Europe cluster [mainly France, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Italy), and occasionally within the wider EMEA region.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
