The posting

Sun Day Red is looking for an experienced Senior Analyst, Product Master Data to own our product data from end to end across Apparel, Accessories, Bags, and Footwear. Based in San Clemente, you will safeguard the accuracy and consistency of the foundational data that powers our core business systems, from the first style setup through to final delivery.

You will partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Sales, Order Management, and Supply Chain to make sure brand, product, and go-to-market information is aligned across every system and report. Day to day, you will manage style, style-color, and SKU creation, and keep sales pricing, costing, HTS codes, duty, freight, and product delivery dates accurate and consistent across our business platforms.

You will also be a key voice in shaping how we manage master data as we grow. That includes helping evolve our processes and systems, supporting upcoming implementations and integrations, and driving continuous data improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance and Cross System Data Flow

  • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Development, Finance, and Supply Chain on calendar milestones and data upload deadlines
  • Monitor data accuracy, run regular audits and reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies between systems
  • Document data standards, maintain the master data dictionary and governance matrix, and identify the source of truth for each attribute
  • Support integrations that sync product data across systems, and escalate sync errors or conflicts
  • Define and track data quality KPIs (completeness, accuracy, timeliness) and build dashboards and scorecards that report data health to stakeholders
  • Own the master data request and change workflow, meeting defined SLAs for new style and change requests
  • Maintain a clean product hierarchy, change history, and audit trail to support Finance and BI reporting

Product Hierarchy and SKU Management

  • Set up and maintain product data at the style, style color, and size levels, released on schedule to meet go to market timelines
  • Ensure style attributes, size ranges, and size scales are complete, accurate, and consistent across product lines and seasons
  • Troubleshoot data issues that surface in order entry, purchasing, allocation, or fulfillment
  • Manage item status across the product lifecycle and support seasonal SKU rationalization

Delivery Dates, Pricing, and Costing

  • Maintain product delivery and availability dates across systems, process changes, and resolve gaps between planned and actual dates
  • Set up and maintain wholesale and retail pricing by region, channel, and season, and validate pricing integrity between systems
  • Manage costing data, including vendor price lists, PO pricing, and standard costs, in partnership with Finance, Merchandising, Development, and Supply Chain

HTS, Duty, and Freight

  • Monitor HTS and duty changes and work with Logistics, Compliance, and Development to classify and validate new products
  • Maintain freight attributes (weight, dimensions, packaging), country of origin, and material composition data

Systems and Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce manual entry and sync errors
  • Partner with IT and business teams on new systems and integrations, including requirements input and user acceptance testing
  • Develop training materials and SOPs, and recommend governance improvements as the business scales

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product data management, merchandising operations, or supply chain compliance, ideally in apparel, footwear, or consumer goods.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with PLM, ERP, and BI platforms (Domo, Power BI, or Tableau); Oracle ERP experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort validating large data sets across systems
  • Strong analytical skills, data modeling proficiency, and exceptional attention to detail
  • SQL or database querying experience preferred
  • Experience writing and maintaining data governance documentation and SOPs
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across the product lifecycle
  • Strong communicator who can align stakeholders and influence without direct authority
  • Process improvement mindset and adaptability as systems and processes evolve

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
  • Ability to work extended hours, as necessary.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment.
  • Light physical effort is equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
