At St Francis, we are proud of our Catholic ethos, and our warm and welcoming approach. We have recently been judged as a Good school by Ofsted and in our Catholic Schools Inspection.

The role will be to support and work closely with the Office Manager. In this role you would be expected to support admin functions within the school office.

The role is in main office and will involve general office duties. You will also be required to;

  • daily monitor pupil’s attendance, compiling accurate information when required for the senior leadership team

  • Lead on ‘The Fast-Track to Attendance strategy’ (knowledge of this would be an advantage)
  • Work with suppliers to get quotes for school
  • Place orders on the system as required by school staff and finance/SLT
  • answer the telephone and deal with queries, as required in a school setting
  • deal with in-person queries, queries via email/telephone
  • meet and greet visitors to school
  • provide accurate and consistent record keeping
  • use school’s IT systems to produce letters, emails, and reports
  • Working Hours can be flexible, but must meet the needs of the school

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged and can be arranged by contacting our Office Manager, Laura Freeman. To request an application pack, arrange a visit or find out more, please contact the school directly on 0121 464 5072 or e-mail us at [email protected]

Applications should be returned to school. The closing date for applicants: 4pm Tuesday 10th November 2026

All completed applications must be submitted using a CES application form which can be obtained along with a full application pack from the school. Completed forms should be returned to [email protected]

St Francis’ Catholic Primary School is committed to Equal Opportunities. We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. KCSIE, paragraph 221, states as part of the shortlisting process schools and colleges should consider carrying out online searches, as part of the due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This is to determine suitability to work with children and keep them safe. All shortlisted candidates are now subject to an online check and if there is anything concerning, then the shortlisted candidate will be asked to comment on it either prior or at interview. The successful candidate will be required to provide a copy of their birth certificate.

The school office can be contacted on 0121 464 5072 or via email: [email protected] or St Francis’ Catholic Primary School, Nursery Road, Birmingham, B19 1PH

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
