Enfield Heights is a happy, high-achieving and inclusive primary school, ranked in the top 10% nationally for outcomes. We are proud to serve a richly diverse community, where every child is known, valued and inspired to thrive. Our vision goes beyond academic success—we are committed to developing the whole child, nurturing curiosity, creativity and confidence. Joining our team means becoming part of a passionate, caring and forward-thinking group of educators and support staff. We work together to make a real difference in children’s lives and we are looking for individuals who share our values and believe in the power of education to transform futures.

About the role

Join Enfield Heights Academy as our After School Care Leader and help make every afternoon enjoyable, safe and full of opportunities for children to learn and grow. You’ll organise fun, engaging activities, lead the after-school team and make sure every child feels welcome, supported and included. If you enjoy working with children and creating a positive environment where they can play, build friendships and develop new skills, we’d love to hear from you!

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can create a fun, safe and welcoming environment where they feel happy, supported and included. You’ll be organised, approachable and confident in planning activities that keep children interested, encourage creativity and help them build friendships and new skills.

You should have experience working with primary-aged children, supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs and promoting positive behaviour. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues and parents are important.

A Level 3 qualification in childcare, playwork, early years or a relevant area is required, or a willingness to work towards one. You’ll also need a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection, along with a Paediatric First Aid qualification and Food Hygiene Certificate, or a willingness to complete the relevant training.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is caring, reliable and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children enjoy their time after school and making sure every child feels valued.

What we offer

We are committed to being a supportive, caring and rewarding place to work and learn, and to being an employer of choice. A full overview of our offer, including staff benefits, our People Plan and what our staff say about working with us, can be found in the supporting documents attached.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
