The posting

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and committed Assistant Caretaker to join our busy and dedicated Facilities Team.

The Facilities Department forms part of the wider Business Team and consists of a Facilities Manager, five Caretakers—two of whom work part-time—and a team of approximately 15 cleaning staff. Together, the team plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, professional and well-presented environment for our students, staff and visitors.

Our Caretakers currently work across a range of shifts to ensure the school is appropriately supported throughout the day. The morning Caretakers work from 6:00am to 2:00pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00am to 1:30pm on Fridays. The evening Caretaker works from 5:15pm to 9:15pm Monday to Thursday and until 8:15pm on Fridays, while the weekend Caretaker provides cover across both Saturdays and Sundays.

The Caretakers and Facilities Manager also participate in a rota for emergency call-outs seven days a week. Any attendance required outside normal working hours will be paid.

This position provides additional facilities support across the school day, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will work closely with the Facilities Manager and wider Facilities Team to help ensure the school site remains safe, secure, clean and well maintained.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, term-time only. Exact working hours will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.

We are looking for someone who is practical, proactive, dependable and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of the school environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working as part of a team while also being able to use their own initiative and respond effectively to the varied needs of a busy school site.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
