  • Ensure students with SEND receive high-quality, appropriately targeted support and that reasonable adjustments are effectively implemented across the school.
  • Work with teachers and leaders to strengthen inclusive classroom practice and maintain consistently high expectations for students with SEND.
  • Use student data and other evidence to evaluate the impact of SEND and inclusion provision and identify priorities for improvement.
  • Ensure the school meets its statutory responsibilities relating to SEND and inclusion.
  • Develop effective relationships with parents, carers, external professionals and agencies to support students with additional needs.

  • Promote a strong culture of safeguarding, ensuring staff understand their responsibilities and concerns are identified, reported and responded to appropriately.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams, families and external agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of students.

What we are looking for

  • A strong classroom practitioner with a proven track record of achieving excellent progress and outcomes for all students.
  • Successful experience as a middle leader, with a track record of initiating and delivering school improvement.
  • Successful experience of leading SEND, inclusion or a closely related whole-school priority, with evidence of improving provision and outcomes for students with additional needs.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of effective inclusive practice and schools' statutory responsibilities in relation to SEND.
  • The ability to provide strategic leadership for inclusion and influence teaching, curriculum, behaviour and pastoral practice across the school.
  • Experience of working effectively with parents, carers, external professionals and agencies to support students with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop others, collaborate effectively and build positive relationships across the school community.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
