About the Role:
As a casual HLTA, you will be called upon to cover classes from Reception to Year 6 when required, due to staff absence or planned professional development commitments. You will deliver engaging learning experiences and support pupils to make excellent progress.
The role will include:
- Delivering learning activities under the direction of teachers.
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
- Contributing to the assessment, monitoring and evaluation of pupil progress.
- Promoting high expectations of behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Supporting the teaching of literacy, numeracy and other curriculum areas.
- Supporting inclusion and ensuring all pupils can access learning opportunities.
- Using ICT effectively to support teaching and learning.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, cover teacher or class teacher within the last 5 years.
- Holds Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent) - this is an essential requirement for application
- Has a good understanding of teaching and learning strategies and the primary curriculum.
- Can confidently work with individual pupils, groups and whole classes.
- Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
- Demonstrates initiative, responsibility and the ability to work independently within agreed boundaries.
- Is committed to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
