Stowford School Class Teacher (0.6 FTE) Maternity Cover (Fixed Term)

About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Stowford School to provide maternity cover as a Class Teacher (0.6FTE - temporary). Cover is required for PPA one day a week and for a Year 2 class for 2 days a week; working days will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Stowford School is a large two-form entry primary school with an onsite nursery located in Ivybridge, Devon. We have a dedicated team of staff who are always seeking to improve both themselves and the outcomes for our children. At Stowford, you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a purposeful learning environment. We aim to provide happy and supportive surroundings for the children in our care and have in place a wide range of learning experiences to help and ensure the full growth and development of the child - physically, intellectually, socially and morally.

The successful candidate will be a Teacher who:

- Has a proven track record of excellent teaching

- Has an excellent understanding of teaching and learning across the primary age range

- Consistently demonstrates vision, passion and drive to raise attainment and achieve excellent outcomes for all pupils

- Is able to work as part of a team and willing to share knowledge and expertise

- Is patient, caring and a good communicator

- Is resourceful, calm under pressure and able to use their own initiative

and can demonstrate:

- Energy and enthusiasm

- Excellent team working skills

- Creativity in their approach to children's learning.
