Food Technology Cleaner

10 hours per week | Term time | Foundation Living Wage currently £13.45 per hour

Are you reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene? Do you take pride in ensuring work areas and equipment are cleaned thoroughly and safely? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a reliable and committed Food Technology Cleaner to support our Technology Department by ensuring the food technology classrooms and equipment are cleaned to a high standard and food hygiene standards are maintained. Hours can be worked in the morning between 6am – 8am or after school 3.15pm – 5.15pm.

Working with Technology staff and reporting to the Head of Technology, you will clean food technology classrooms and equipment following practical lessons, making sure food hygiene protocols are followed and areas and equipment are left to a high standard.

A day in your role could see you:

• Cleaning food technology classrooms following practical lessons.

• Cleaning work surfaces and equipment thoroughly and safely.

• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures and instructions.

• Working independently, using your initiative and managing your time effectively.

• Working flexibly to meet the operational needs of the school.

What we're looking for

You'll have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, with good attention to detail. You'll understand the importance of following food hygiene, health and safety procedures and instructions, and be able to carry out cleaning duties safely and thoroughly.

You'll be reliable and punctual, able to work independently and use your initiative, while also working positively and cooperatively with colleagues. You'll understand the importance of safeguarding and maintaining appropriate professional conduct when working in a school environment.

Previous experience of working in a cleaning role, particularly within a food preparation, catering, education or similar environment, would be helpful. Knowledge of food hygiene and relevant cleaning and hygiene procedures would also be beneficial, but these are not essential.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic Food Technology environment and who can work dependably to high standards.

If you're reliable, thorough and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, we'd love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
