St John’s School provides special education for children and young people with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, aged two to nineteen. We are part of Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust.
We are looking to recruit General Kitchen Assistant who plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the kitchen.
This includes assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager. The role involves setting up and maintaining the dining area, ensuring food is served efficiently and upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
This role will be 12.5 hours a week, during term time only plus training days.
This post is subject to Enhanced DBS Clearance, right to work check, satisfactory references, social media checks, health clearance, and a probationary period. This post is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and we will ask job applicants to declare convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview to assess their suitability to work with children. In addition, online checks will be completed in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
