We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and inspirational Part-Time Head of RE and PSHCE to lead and develop our Religious Education (RE) and Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic Education (PSHCE) provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a positive difference to students’ learning, personal development and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will lead the development of a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that supports students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and equips them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become respectful, responsible and active citizens.

Main responsibilities:

  • To ensure that students achieve strong outcomes in RE and PSHCE, regardless of their starting point
  • To lead and develop the RE and PSHCE curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
  • To raise standards and monitor student progress and achievement across the department
  • To support and develop colleagues, sharing effective practice and promoting consistency
  • To ensure that RE and PSHCE provision supports students’ personal development, wellbeing and spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
  • To contribute to wider school initiatives and collaborate effectively with colleagues

Role:

  • Post: Part-Time Head of RE and PSHCE
  • Responsibility allowance: TLR 2C (pro rata)
  • Working hours: Part time

Start date:

1st January 2026
