Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with children during play and recreational activities.
  • Plan and support fun, age-appropriate activities.
  • Encourage children to develop social skills, confidence and independence.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive and positive environment.
  • Ensure children are supervised and kept safe at all times.
  • Support children with their individual needs and interests.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and organisational policies.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and organised play environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Able to plan engaging and inspiring activities for children

Caring, patient and enthusiastic about working with children.

  • Friendly, approachable and a positive role model.
  • Creative and able to make play activities fun and engaging.
  • Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Confident communicating with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

As this role is for a Play Leader, a NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent is required/preferred
