The posting
You are an ambitious, visionary, and passionate Drama teacher with leadership capacity or clear aspirational potential to step into middle leadership as Second in Department. As a dynamic classroom practitioner, you have a proven track record or strong capability in teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including either GCSE Drama, A Level Drama, and Level 2 BTEC Performing Arts across Acting and Production Arts streams. Whether your core strength lies in performance or in technical theatre and production skills, you bring creative flair, exceptional subject knowledge, and high expectations to every classroom.
Motivated by educational excellence and inclusive practice, you possess a genuine passion for driving extracurricular life, school productions, and cultural enrichment. Crucially, you share our school’s commitment to trauma-informed education, approaching student development with empathy, consistency, and a clear understanding of how to build safety, resilience, and confidence through the arts. You are ready to help shape departmental strategy, inspire colleagues, and ensure Performing Arts remains an outstanding cornerstone of our school community.
