We are looking for a proactive, compassionate and student-centred Student Support Advisor to provide pastoral, progression and engagement support to students studying higher education, higher technical and relevant apprenticeship programmes. You will play a key role in helping students and apprentices engage, continue, achieve and progress by monitoring attendance, engagement and wellbeing indicators, coordinating timely interventions and connecting learners with the right academic, wellbeing, careers and financial support.

You will provide individualised support through progress reviews and 1:1 tutorials, act as a key point of contact for advice and guidance, deliver relevant in-class support sessions and help students plan their next steps into further study, employment, graduate opportunities and professional development. Working collaboratively with curriculum and apprenticeship teams, professional services, employers and external partners, you will contribute to a culture of high expectations, excellent student experience, robust tracking and early intervention.

We are seeking someone with experience of working with learners aged 18+ or adults in an educational, higher education, apprenticeship, student support, youth work or community setting. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, a calm and methodical approach, and the confidence to deliver tutorial sessions. Knowledge of higher education, higher technical or apprenticeship pathways and experience supporting learners with complex pastoral, wellbeing, engagement or progression needs would be highly desirable. A relevant qualification in information, advice and guidance, youth work or a related field, and/or a degree or equivalent, would also be welcomed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
