Start date: January 2027

Kedington Primary Academy is a friendly and successful one-form entry village primary school close to Haverhill. We are proud of the high standards we achieve, our commitment to inclusion, and our nurturing, trauma-informed approach, which ensures that every child feels valued, supported and able to succeed.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our team from January 2027, teaching Year 3 for two days per week in the first instance.

The successful candidate will share the class with our Deputy Headteacher. The working days are likely to be Monday and Tuesday, although there is some flexibility for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who:

• is highly motivated and enthusiastic about teaching and learning

• is passionate about ensuring every child thrives and achieves their potential

• is nurturing, caring and committed to building positive relationships with children and families

• supports and embraces our trauma-informed approach to behaviour and inclusion

• is committed to continually developing and improving their practice

• enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team

We can offer:

• a well-sequenced curriculum through CUSP, with high-quality resources and support

• a genuine commitment to reducing teacher workload

• a friendly, welcoming school with a strong and supportive staff team

• happy, enthusiastic children who love learning and demonstrate excellent behaviour

• supportive and forward-thinking leadership

• a strong commitment to staff wellbeing, including wellbeing days for all staff and a two week October half term break

• excellent professional development opportunities both internally and through Unity Schools Partnership, including leadership development and collaboration with colleagues across the trust

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged.

To arrange a visit, please contact Vicky Doherty, Headteacher, by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 01440 702787.

Please note that we reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive sufficient applications.

Closing date: 09:00am, 05 October 2026

Interviews: 12 October 2026

Please note: We may interview as applications are received and may appoint before the closing date. Applications must be submitted online via our careers website before the deadline, so we encourage early applications and advise checking the job details on our site.

In line with safer recruitment, we cannot accept CVs. Incomplete application forms may result in candidates not being shortlisted.

Unity Schools Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils. All successful candidates will be subject to rigorous pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS. We are also committed to equality, diversity and fair recruitment practices, and we oppose all forms of unlawful discrimination.

We value inclusive working practices and diverse teams. If you wish to work part‑time or as a job‑share, we will accommodate this wherever possible. We particularly welcome applications from under‑represented groups.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
