Are you an experienced primary teacher looking for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to help young people thrive in a secondary setting?

Brentwood County High School is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and nurturing teacher to work with Key Stage 3 students in English and Mathematics. This role is ideal for a successful primary practitioner with a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and the transition to secondary education.

Working with students who need additional support to reach age-related expectations, you will use your expertise to identify learning gaps, build confidence and develop the knowledge and skills pupils need to succeed. You will work closely with colleagues across English, Mathematics, SEND and pastoral teams to provide targeted, personalised support and ensure strong progress for all students.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching in a primary setting.
  • Has strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 English and Mathematics curriculum.

  • Can identify learning gaps and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Is passionate about helping every student succeed.
  • Builds positive relationships and maintains high expectations for all learners.
  • Can inspire confidence, resilience and a love of learning.

No previous secondary teaching experience is required. We welcome applications from experienced primary teachers who are ready to bring their skills to a new setting and make a lasting difference to young people's lives.

In return, we offer a supportive and welcoming school environment, excellent professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact through highly effective class teaching.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
