Teaching Assistant (Level 2) Contract: 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Towcester Primary School is a friendly, nurturing church school based in the heart of the market town of Towcester. We provide fantastic provision for children from the local community. The school prides itself on its inclusive nurturing approach and strives to ensure that all pupils thrive and have a brilliant start to their education!

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team and our ideal candidate is someone who has:

  • Previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
  • A good awareness of SEN
  • Experience of working with pupils who have communication and language difficulties,
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
  • Personal commitment to on-going professional development.

The recruitment process There will be two stages to the recruitment process. For the first stage, you will be invited to join a video call to discuss your reasons for applying to Towcester and to discuss your application form. Stage 2 will consist of a formal panel interview, and a task, which will take place at school.

Towcester is a proud member of PDET, alongside 35 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.
