Job Title: Teaching Assistant

E-ACT Ousedale School - Newport Pagnell

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team at Ousedale School, Newport Pagnell. You will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning, providing both general and targeted assistance to help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
  • Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
  • Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate.

Pay range: NJC 8-10 (39 weeks per year)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C/4 or equivalent
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience
  • Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range
  • Ability to work with an individual child or with a group
