Job Description

WEDDING CAPTAIN

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of wedding servers at catering and banqueting events. He/She will also be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing wedding activities with a goal of ensuring that guests have a favorable experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating, and overseeing the setup and service of all wedding functions
  • Inspecting room setups to ensure proper presentation and standards are being met
  • Working to improve standards of wedding presentation and service to maximise client and attendee satisfaction
  • Ensuring strict sequence of service with respect to timing, coordinated delivery and clearing of food and beverage
  • Guiding and coaching team members in wedding events service standards

Qualifications:

  • High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma
  • Food Handler's permit
  • A minimum of three years' experience in fine dining restaurants and ability to maintain the highest level of standards
