The posting

Join one of the leading Pan-Baltic and Scandinavian banking groups – a financial institution with deep Nordic roots, a strong presence in all three Baltic countries and millions of private and corporate customers who rely on its services every day.

As the Automation QA Engineer, you will join the client's Payments Baltic task-force to make sure that every delivered solution meets its functional, non-functional, integration and regulatory requirements. You will own verification and validation from start to finish – from defining the test strategy to supporting release validation – and, where applicable, drive test automation to make testing faster, broader and more reliable across the payments landscape.

What you will do:

Define and execute test strategies for the developed payment solutions.

Prepare test plans, test scenarios and test cases.

Perform functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing on deliveries made by the task-force.

Verify compliance with business, system and regulatory requirements.

Identify, document and track defects through to resolution.

Validate integrations across Payments Baltic systems.

Support user acceptance testing and release validation activities.

Collaborate closely with analysts and developers to ensure quality throughout delivery.

Contribute to environment preparation and other testing-related activities.

Where applicable, design, develop and maintain automated test suites and frameworks, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines and improve testing efficiency and coverage through automation.

What you need:

5+ years of experience as a QA consultant or engineer, with very deep competence in the area.

Proven, hands-on Payments domain knowledge in banking and its nuances – an absolute must.

Proven, hands-on experience testing enterprise applications and integrations.

Strong, practical understanding of software testing methodologies.

Hands-on experience with API testing and integration testing.

Experience with test management and defect management tools.

Practical experience with Agile delivery practices.

The ability to solve abstract tasks, lead others and act as a mentor.

For the automation part:

Experience with automated testing frameworks – web UI frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress, API testing libraries such as REST Assured or Postman, mobile automation platforms such as Appium and test runners such as PyTest, JUnit or Jest.

Experience with CI/CD integration.

Java or comparable programming skills.

What we offer:

Cooperation on a B2B basis

A long-term project – till at least the end of 2027, with prolongation for strong performers

The chance to work on the core payment systems of one of the region's leading banks

Hybrid work in Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania – 3 days per week onsite in the office

A senior role with real influence on quality and testing practices

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
