About
This is an exciting opportunity to join an avant-garde software engineering team developing the next generation of AI-powered design tools for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
We're looking for someone who understands architectural design, enjoys exploring new technologies, and wants to help shape how architects and engineers will work in the future.
You don't need to be a software developer. However, you should understand architectural workflows, be comfortable with CAD and BIM tools, and have experience testing software.
As a Manual QA Specialist, you'll work closely with software engineers, designers, and product teams to ensure that innovative design applications are reliable, intuitive, and ready for real-world use.
Your architectural knowledge will be particularly valuable in identifying problems that traditional software testers might overlook.
What You'll Do
- Test innovative, AI-powered architectural design applications, identifying bugs, usability issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Apply your knowledge of architectural workflows to evaluate how software performs in real-world scenarios.
- Perform exploratory testing, release verification, and post-deployment checks.
- Investigate, reproduce, and document software issues clearly.
- Develop and maintain manual test cases and testing plans.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve product quality and identify opportunities for automated testing.
- Participate in sprint planning, product discussions, and release readiness reviews.
- Explore AI tools to make software testing faster, smarter, and more effective.
What We're Looking For
Essential experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in manual or exploratory software testing.
- A good understanding of architecture, engineering, or construction workflows.
- Practical familiarity with Rhino and Revit.
- Experience with Grasshopper or Dynamo.
- Understanding of CAD, BIM, and 3D modelling concepts.
- Familiarity with web applications, particularly those built with React.
- Ability to investigate problems and communicate findings clearly.
- Understanding of Agile software development practices.
- Basic knowledge of software development environments, builds, and releases.
- Experience with issue-tracking tools such as GitLab.
Nice to Have:
- A degree or professional background in Architecture or a related discipline.
- Experience with browser-based 3D technologies such as Three.js or WebGL.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor.
- An interest in how artificial intelligence is transforming architectural design.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Most architects use software to design buildings.
In this role, you'll help shape the software that architects will use to design the buildings of tomorrow.
You'll work alongside an innovative engineering team at the intersection of architecture, artificial intelligence, and software development.
This is an opportunity to apply your architectural expertise in a completely different environment, contribute to cutting-edge technology, and influence tools that could transform the entire AEC industry.
If you're passionate about architecture, curious about technology, and excited by the possibilities of AI, we'd love to hear from you.
