About the Role:
Currently, Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as an Manual Bolters to join our team in Timmins, ON reporting to the site superintendent.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing pre-operational inspections and ensuring safe operation of manual bolting equipment such as jacklegs/stoppers
- Inspecting existing underground headings and scaling loose rocks while working according to work procedures and company policies within a safety conscious environment
- Reporting any safety concerns or unsafe conditions
- Assisting with other support duties such as mechanical installations; maintenance of air, water and ventilation; and ground support
Qualifications:
- Must have Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000 to U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a jackleg and stopper
- Ability to read mine plans and specifications for underground mining
- Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
- Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment
- Must be willing to work at any of the underground mine sites that Technica operates at
