Job Summary

You will apply your expertise in sheet metal fabrication to lead process planning and quality control initiatives that drive efficient production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fabrication workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review mechanical drawings to determine and select optimal fabrication process sequences
  • Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documents, including OMS, SOP, WI, WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
  • Collaborate with welders to implement and refine fabrication processes.Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and welding symbols to interpret and verify fabrication requirements
  • Utilize expertise in TIG and MIG welding techniques adhering to AWS, ASME, and ISO welding standards to ensure quality welds
  • Analyze failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement
  • Manage drawing documentation and control through Engineering Change Notes (ECN) to maintain version accuracy
  • Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures to support efficient and precise manufacturing operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication - welding.
