The posting

My name is Jim Hast, and I am the Head of Customer Experience for our team in the Northern Region at Telia Cygate. We are now looking for a Senior Lifecycle Assurance Manager to join our office in Gävle.

As a Lifecycle Assurance Manager, you will turn technology investments into lasting customer value. Are you motivated by bringing structure to complex IT environments and turning insights into clear action? Join Telia Cygate as a Lifecycle Assurance Manager and help customers optimise their hardware, software, licences and service agreements throughout the technology lifecycle.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will help customers maximise the return on their technology investments, reduce the risk of downtime and optimise licensing and software costs. By connecting accurate asset and contract information with proactive lifecycle planning, you will turn operational insights into practical recommendations that support long-term business goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create visibility and control: Review vendor and partner portals quarterly, reconcile active licences and hardware records, remove outdated entries and identify gaps in service and support coverage.
  • Stay ahead of lifecycle risks: Track End-of-Life, End-of-Service and other key milestones, and coordinate renewals to help prevent lapses in licences and support agreements.
  • Optimise usage and costs: Analyse software and licence usage, identify unused entitlements and underused functionality, and recommend appropriate licence and support levels.
  • Build actionable roadmaps: Develop and maintain rolling 24-month plans for software upgrades, functionality and hardware replacement, aligned with each customer’s IT platform roadmap.
  • Support service-level management: Review service and support coverage against business criticality, monitor security patches, bug fixes and software versions, and highlight potential additional costs associated with version changes.
  • Turn insights into improvement: Identify opportunities for assessments, best-practice initiatives and use cases that help customers get more value from their technology.
  • Contribute to strategic advice: Support planning for cloud and SaaS adoption, automation, observability, AI and infrastructure evolution, taking security, application sovereignty and data sovereignty into account.
  • Enable more efficient governance: Assess tools and automation opportunities to improve the monitoring and management of portals, assets and software versions.
  • Connect technology with business priorities: Bring lifecycle insights and recommendations to Quarterly Business Reviews, linking customer goals and security requirements to a 24–60-month planning horizon.

What will help you thrive in this role:

You combine analytical thinking with technical understanding and a clear, customer-focused communication style. You enjoy making complex information manageable, explaining risks and opportunities, and turning your findings into prioritised recommendations. Your background may be in IT lifecycle management, software licensing, hardware asset management, service and support agreements, or customer-facing IT advisory work. An interest in governance, automation and long-term technology planning helps you connect operational detail with business value.

Your experience and skills:

  • Customer advisory experience: Several years in a customer-facing advisory role, with the ability to understand customer needs, explain technical topics clearly and build trusted relationships.
  • IT and infrastructure experience: A background in the IT industry and an understanding of how hardware, software and service and support agreements fit together throughout the technology lifecycle.
  • Licensing and software knowledge: An understanding of software licensing, entitlements and product functionality, and how these affect customer usage and costs. Familiarity with Cisco’s product portfolio is an advantage.
  • A data-driven approach: Experience using data and insights to create ongoing customer value, with the ability to organize asset, license and contract information, identify risks and opportunities, and translate findings into clear actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in Swedish (native or near-native) and good English to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
