The posting

The Manager of Stadium Operations (special events) leads the planning, setup, execution, and turnover of non-game-day special events held throughout the stadium, including conferences, banquets, dinners, luncheons, meetings, receptions, dances, weddings, and community or corporate functions. This role serves as the operational link between the stadium's event sales and hospitality teams, clients, facility crews, and external vendors, ensuring each event is delivered safely, on time, and to the standard of Nissan Stadium.

The Manager also oversees the physical conversion of stadium spaces, such as clubs, suites, concourses, terraces, outdoor event spaces, field level, and the playing surface, from one configuration to another on tight timelines.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the primary operations lead for non-game-day events, from planning stages through post-event close-out. Partner with Sales and Client Services teams to review event orders, floor plans, timelines, and client requirements, and translate them into detailed operational plans. Attend client walkthroughs and pre-event meetings to confirm needs, set expectations, and answer operational questions. Act as on-site manager during events, resolving issues in real time and keeping clients and guests informed. Conduct post-event debriefs, collect client feedback, and drive continuous improvement in processes and service quality. Collaborate with other Stadium Operations Managers to ensure the stadium is run smoothly through coordination of inventory and employee resources. Plan and direct the conversion of spaces between configurations (e.g., club level to banquet or ballroom, field level to dinner or dance floor, concourse to exhibit or reception space). Develop and maintain conversion schedules, labor plans, and equipment inventories that account for NFL game days, concerts, and other competing events. Oversee setup and teardown of tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, draping, signage, AV support, and other event infrastructure. Ensure floor plans comply with fire, life-safety, ADA, and egress requirements. Recruit, schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate full-time, seasonal, and part-time event and conversion staff. Build staffing plans based on event size, timeline, and service level, and manage labor costs against budget. Foster a safety-first, service-oriented culture with clear performance expectations and accountability according to the standard of Nissan Stadium. Manage relationships with rental companies, décor and lighting vendors, AV/production partners, and other outside contractors. Build relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, IT, A/V, Security, Parking, Guest Experiences, and Food Services to ensure all building systems and support services are ready for each event. Assist in developing and managing the special events operations budget, including labor, equipment, and supplies. Maintain accurate records of event orders, conversion plans, inspections, incident reports, and equipment inventory. Review and approve timesheets. Enforce all stadium safety, security, fire code, and health codes at every event. Ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures, evacuation plans, and incident response. Investigate and document incidents, injuries, and property damage; recommend corrective actions. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and with NFL and league facility standards where applicable.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of progressive experience in event operations, stadium/arena operations, convention center, hotel banquet operations, or a similar large-venue environment. 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading hourly and seasonal teams. Demonstrated experience executing complex setups and room flips on compressed timelines. Working knowledge of floor plan development, venue capacity, life-safety, and ADA requirements. Strong communication and client service skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, guests, vendors, and frontline staff. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management software (e.g., Ungerboeck, Momentus, Cvent, or similar), and diagramming tools (e.g., CAD, Social Tables, or similar).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
