Images are distributed to a broad range of stakeholders including sponsors, players, media organisations and internal departments. The role plays a critical part in ensuring all imagery is delivered to the requested brief from each stakeholder.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work closely with the Photography Manager to support the delivery of captioned and keyworded imagery.
  • Coordinate photographers and photo editors to ensure comprehensive event coverage across editorial, marketing and partnership requirements.
  • Assist with image categorisation, archiving and digital asset management.
  • Caption and keyword images for Tennis Australia's online archive and support quality control processes.
  • Manage image uploads and workflows within content management systems.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and photography requirements throughout the tournament period.
  • Identify and suggest content themes, galleries and storytelling opportunities aligned to daily event activity.
  • Maintain the highest levels of accuracy, organisation and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a highly organised and detail-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced sporting environment and enjoys working with a broad range of stakeholders.

You'll bring:

  • 3-5 years' experience working on a photo desk within a sports body, agency or news media organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of photography workflows and asset management systems.
  • Experience managing and delivering photography briefs.
  • Excellent editorial skills, particularly in photo captioning.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong administrative capability.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgement, make decisions and perform under pressure.
  • Experience within sport, media or event environments.
  • Knowledge of tennis, players and the Australian Open.
  • A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach to work.

Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis, supporting the delivery of iconic moments seen by fans around the world. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
