  • Prepare and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, and management analyses using Oracle, Microsoft Excel, and other applicable reporting or business intelligence tools.
  • Oversee and support the accurate and timely completion of invoicing activities for complex regional projects, clients, or programs.
  • Review project contracts and related documentation to understand billing requirements, revenue recognition considerations, fee structure, change provisions, and other financial implications.
  • Support project setup and contract setup to help align project information, billing methods, budgets, and financial controls with contractual requirements and management policies.
  • Monitor and support management of Work in Progress (WIP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing status, collections activity, project profitability, and other key financial indicators.
  • Partner with project teams to support fee estimates, budget development, forecasts, change orders, resource planning, and project financial reviews.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of invoicing, collections, project financial information, and related reporting; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide clear, timely financial insights and recommendations to project leadership and Operations, including the financial impact of project decisions and contractual requirements.
  • Support other regional or corporate Finance team members with escalated invoicing, reporting, analysis, and special projects.
  • Assist with prioritizing Regional Finance Team workload and coordinate assigned financial initiatives or projects to meet deadlines.
  • Participate in Oracle, billing application, ERP, and reporting-system testing, enhancements, process improvements, and implementation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, project controls, invoicing, forecasting, and project delivery processes.
  • Develop or support training materials and provide guidance to project teams and staff on financial processes, project controls, applicable systems, and reporting expectations.
  • Provide professional internal and external client service and work collaboratively to resolve financial, billing, and project-control issues.
  • Support procurement-related activities as assigned, which may include requisitions, supplier onboarding, invoice review, receipt documentation, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Participate in management meetings and operational or financial reviews, presenting relevant analysis, risks, trends, and recommended actions.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects; maintain quality standards on all assigned work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Expert knowledge of accounting and finance principles (GAAP) and calculations. Working experience with database tools and manipulation/analysis software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including proficiency with pivot tables, vlookup and advance formulas

  • Experience in project finance, operational finance, project controls, accounting, or financial analysis, including budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP, AR, and project performance analysis.
  • Required hands-on experience using Oracle ERP or Oracle Cloud applications for project financial management, accounting, billing, reporting, or related financial processes.
  • Experience with project management, financial reporting, data visualization, or business intelligence systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and practices related to project invoicing, revenue recognition, financial controls, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to interpret contracts and translate contractual and financial requirements into clear guidance for project teams and Operations.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, collaborate across functions, and meet deadlines in a changing business environment.
  • Leadership, training, and mentoring capabilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting complex projects, multi-project portfolios, regional operations, or major client programs in engineering, consulting, professional services, construction, or a related project-based environment.
  • Experience improving ERP-enabled finance processes, financial reporting, project controls, or data quality.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
